Just like the Motorola Milestone, it appears the upcoming Droid X and Droid 2 will have a digitally signed bootloader that will prevent users from flashing custom ROMs.
meaning: if the bootloader detects that anything has been tampered with it will intentionally brick your phone, requiring VZW to send it to Moto in order to fix it (and stick you with a voided warranty repair bill).
